LOVE this cute little baby smile :)

This next picture makes me want to curl up and take a nap.

Well Gretchen wasn’t as good for her photo shoot as her big sis was when I did her pictures. We still got lots of good ones, and she is so darn cute. Congrats on the new baby girl.
Meet my new friend Lindsay….

Lindsay is a cool kid. I had fun hanging out with her in the studio. We talked photography for awhile. She takes photography in 4-H. I hope I helped her out some and didn’t totally confuse her. I tried to come up with some project ideas for her to do this summer. I can’t wait to see what she ends up doing.
Here are a couple more ideas I have for ya Lindsay and for any other kids that want ideas of what to take pictures of….
1. Pets (get down on your tummy and snap pictures from their level, or maybe don’t take pictures of them but of the view from a pet’s perspective)
2. Family (follow around a family member for the day and document what they do at work, at their hobby. This would be especially fun if you have a little brother or sister.)
3. Your Town (take pictures of buildings close up and far away, act like you are doing a documentary)
4. Long term project… document the seasons. Pick a location near your house or maybe even your house and snap a picture of it every month.
Have fun with photography kids!! Let me know if any one out there actually takes my advise and does any of these projects. I would totally feature them on the blog.
Their mom is a vintage kinda’ gal and asked me to make some of the images vintage, which isn’t really my style but thought it would be fun to play around. Here we go..

Once again I will be at Elizabeth’s Garden of Culver to do Spring/Easter photos. This time we won’t have live bunnies but I will have my fake chicks and bunnies along with some other Spring props. (the fake stuff looks so real that kid’s some times think they are the real thing) We will be using the light blue backdrop that will look great for girls and boys. (pink looks great on it)
Saturday, March 20th 10-1:00 Eastern time (which is 9-noon central time)
I hope to see everyone there. We always have a great turn out and good times at Elizabeth’s shop. Also she always has some great SALE that day. She mentioned getting more kid products in the store, I can’t wait to see what all she has there now.

Here are a few photos from our shoot for the magazine….

If you know high school juniors or seniors in our area doing great things let me know so we can tell Senior Mode magazine about them. I look forward to contributing more to the magazine in the future.

My favorite… she looks like such a model is this shot. I love how it doesn’t scream senior pictures.

Savanna was such a trooper. It has been a decent day out but when I was shooting her session it got windy and was even snowing pretty hard for alittle while.
Savanna was the John Glenn’s center on the basketball team. I got to watch her play two games against OD and she did an awesome job. I am sure she is sad that the season is over.
One more thing I have to post a picture of Savanna’s boyfriend Eric. He was lots of help, he carried my step stool and reflector around for me. I needed the step stool because Savanna is just alittle bit taller then I am.
So here is the cute couple…

I had a blast photographing Kerbie Saturday (oh and Greg and Jamie were fun too). Ha Ha Thanks guys for such a fun shoot and for letting my kids play with Kerbie for awhile. When I was editing these pictures this morning Brandon is like, hey that’s Kerbie. I will probably have to print some pictures of Kerbie out for them.

Amanda will be in the Kid’s Book I am working on. We had a fun session. Her grandma came to the studio too and it was nice to see her.
I have two more kids to photograph for the kid’s book. I will be doing that next Monday. Once I get those done I will get it sent off to printers. I will get a sample copy and then I will have to okay it for printing. At that time I will need to know how many copies to order. So if you want additional books please let me know soon. I will put a final warning here on the blog and facebook. Also you can always order a book afterwards but the price will be higher because I won’t get the bulk discount.
Rosie looks like some famous model or actress in this photo, I can’t think of who it is. Help me out will ya. (Edit to add Christy Brinkley, that is who she looks like in this photo.)

I had to include this next photo because I think it is great that Rosie is a senior in high school but is already working on her nursing education so we got a pic of her in her scrubs. You are gonna be such a cute nurse some day soon!

Huge thanks to Rosie and her mom Donna for such a fun morning in the snow. It was cold but I didn’t hear anyone complain at all. Keep spreading the word at John Glenn High School for me Rosie. Everyone from Glenn is always so great to work with.

Maggie just got hearing aids. They are pink and purple, how cool is that!

I taught Jared how to do this. Rachel- your welcome. LOL

Last night I took pictures of my Maggie and Jared. I had a blast. It was fun shooting, but the best part was playing WII afterwards. Toy Story game for WII ROCKS! It was nice being able to hang out with Rod and Rachel for awhile. We typically get together for major holidays but with Maggie being sick we don’t see them much.
I am just about done taking pictures for the book. I have three more kids to photograph and then I will get it done and off to the printers. Don’t worry I will for sure have it back way before Mother’s Day.

Samantha Lynn is Seven today. We thought we were getting a boy, but the doctor was wrong and we had Samantha instead of a Bobby Jr. (so thankful). My mom said that the look on Bob’s face was priceless when he shared the news. Oh and it was so nice to tell Diane (my 2nd mom) that she was a girl. She was one of those people that just knew I was getting a girl first.
As you can tell by the photos Samantha is a cowgirl. If she has my athletic abilities she won’t be very good in sports but I hope she is good at riding and loves horses as much as me and her grandpa Jernas does. I am thinking it might end up being our bonding thing we do together.
Happy Birthday Samantha.
PS Happy Birthday Morgan Ferch who shares Sam’s birthday.
