The Super Senior Project is underway.  Sunday afternoon and Monday night I took all the individual photos of the students and soon I will start editting and creating the group photo with those indv. images.  I am so excitted to get working on it because ALL the kids did awesome.  Honestly it was way more fun then I even thought it would be.  Everyone that participated really got into it and brought outfits and props that showed off what they are involved with in school.  The group photo will be released early June, and I had someone put a bug in my ear that I should release it at the Relay For Life, so if it is ready, that is a possibility, I will let you know.  

I really hope you guys give me a call when it is senior picture time because I would love to work with you guys again. 

Here are just a few snapshots Gwen and I took from the Super Senior shoot.  In case you don’t know me personally I thought I would point out who I was in the photos and then decided to do the same for my crew.  (which by the way, thanks for all the help Mom and Gwen, and Bob for taking care of the kiddos)

Last weekend I went to Elizabeth’s Garden in Culver for their 5 year anniversary.  It was so much fun.  Samantha and I went and shopped, and ate, and ate some more.  Jody Rodgers sells tastefully simple and had samples all over the shop, I went from table to table trying things out.  I ended up buying the the beer bread and some taco cheeseball thing that was amazing.

Anyways, here are just a few snapshots that I grabed, it was kinda hard to take pictures with food in my hands, but I managed okay.

And here is Samantha carrying all of our goodies.  LOL  Afterwards we walked along the beach there in Culver.  We had mother/daughter bonding time. 

Good Luck girls in the upcoming contest.  These four girls were great to work with.  I am sure they will represent our area well.  Friday April 25th there will be a Kankakee Valley Scholarship Fish Fry to support their efforts.  It will be at the Knox Moose.

Will is coming back in a few weeks with his car (I think it is a mustang), I am excitted about that because I have a couple cool car images that are in my head that I hope to do with him.  Here are a couple of my faves from his session the other day.

Sara is graduating soon from Valpo collge, Danny from Knox High School, and I didn’t want Steph to feel left out so I told her to come with them to take part in the fun.  Here are just a few from the session.  Oh and by the way, the horse is my little white horse.  Danny shows her in 4-H.  This is his last year doing so.

This first picture is for Grandma Chris.  Gotta love that little tongue.  Alaina’s other grandma (Larry’s mom) made the quilt.

I love this first shot of the two of them with Brad’s old teddy bear.  (and I mean OLD teddy- I teased him how rough it looked, of course I can tease because I am the same age as Brad.)

This brother and sister are both seniors.  I feel bad for their parents, bad enough having one graduated but two has got to be tough.

4:40 am central time I felt it.   It was an Earthquake. A 5.4 on the radar, locatted new in Southern IN/IL.  I am still shaking.  I can’t image how the people near the center are feeling right now.  Honestly it scared me to death.  It was all I could do to keep from screaming to Bob that was downstairs in the shower.  It felt like someone was shaking my bed.

 My dad was also woke up by it.  He said his closet doors were making a clicking noise.

The above listed sessions will be blogged very soon.  As you know Grandpa passed away on Sunday morning.  I have been spending time with family.  Also my kids have been sick off and on so I have been making lots of trips to the doctor’s.

If you haven’t ordered your open house cards yet, do it NOW.  I am swamped and need time to get them created and ordered and for you to get them sent out in time.

Special thanks to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, cards, flowers, and espicially all the good food sent to myself and my family this week.  My grandfather touched alot of people by all the volunteer work him and grandma did and by being a good neighbor and family member.  I hope I do the same throughout my life.

John Jernas (aka Grandpa)  passed away early this morning.   I wanted to post a couple special pictures of him.  This first is of him and grandma with the kids.  (my dad is in the middle) this is one of my all time faves of grandpa. 

This one was taken at the 4-H fair in 2004 with Samantha, it is on my mom and dad’s fridge so I look at it all the time. 

Just a short public service announcement.  Take lots of pictures and video of your loved ones.  They won’t be here forever, and once they are gone you can’t go back and do it.  Ask them all the questions you wanted answered now  (yes pick up the phone and ask right now).  I am sooo thankful to my cousin Rodney who video taped Grandma and Grandpa Jernas years ago.  He set up the video camera in their kitchen and asked them questions and just let them talk.  I think later tonight I will get the video out.  The pictures and the videos I have of them are priceless.

To family and friends…. his arrangements have been made at Rannells Funeral home in Hamlet.  Tues 5-8 and Wed 11:00 for the funeral–  don’t forget that is central time!
