Fun times in the Bobcat Den last night.  First off it was senior night, always get alittle teared up when that happens.  I think I seen Coach Minix having a moment when the national anthem was playing.  I bet he was looking up at the State Championship banner and remembering that special time.  (I know I was, I hope we get to have more state memories)

THE SENIORS!!!

 Randy Johnson was honored because he has been running the scoreboard for 40 years.  He is also a past OD Bobcat basketball player and his daughter was a past Lady Cat basketball player.

Was cool to see that the girls dug out their “fat heads” from last year.

 Here is Jake and Drew, obviously they love Nicole and Kelsey.  Aren’t they so darn cute.  I wish someone would walk around wearing an I Heart Jayme shirt.  Do I need to make up my own shirts for that to happen???  Andrea… that could be your ticket to making another blog post.

And since this post is about basketball thought I would throw in this shot of Justyne.  Really I should be posting one of Aubrey but she has been on my blog so many times lately.

About the game…Senior Aubrey Minix had an AWESOME senior night!!  She scored 41 points (ties  breaks the Oregon-Davis record for most points in a game).  She made 11 3-pointers.  (that beat her own record of most 3-pointers in a game)  You can go to my storefront and look thru all the photos and see several of Aubrey shooting the three.  (I didn’t post them all- only the good ones) www.photographybyjayme.com/store  Also I think Caley had a double, double, if not she came pretty darn close.

In case you were wondering…. why is Jayme posting so much OD Basketball photos.  A few reasons…. I graduated from OD (a few years ago LOL) , played basketball (wasn’t very good), I love to post stuff about kids involved in their school, Bob’s cousins Sam and Aliva are on the team, I have been taking pictures of the Lady Cats for 10+ years.  (Do I need to go on??)  I wish I had more time to go to other schools in the area but with two little kids it just can’t happen, plus I am so not a sports shooter, even though I LOVE it.

One quick annoucement…. the reschduled game against Argos that will be Saturday Feb 7th is at 5:00 and is at OD.  That is according to Terry and the School.  I doubt I will be there, we have a birthday party for a special relative we will be attending and not sure if I can do both.  Bummer.

I love shooting basketball and that is what I have been doing the last week, but it was so nice to shoot a senior.  I love SENIORS!!!  If you know a junior or a senior that hasn’t had their pictures taken yet…send them my way.  I make sure everyone has unique senior pictures so don’t worry about telling your friends about me, I will make sure theirs are totally different.

Brooke- I wish you all the luck in Chicago.  You have an amazing voice and the best personality ever!  Thanks for being such a good sport even in the 10 degree weather  (It felt wayyy colder then that).

Congrats girls!  I had fun with you guys this past week.  Special Congrats to Caley on her recongition after the game, Gabby’s MVP of the tournament, and Terry Minix’s 200th win.  Lots to celebrate, although I am pretty sure Terry will have the girls running alot tonight after getting ice water dumped on him in the locker room.  (brrrr)

FYI Tues. night will be senior night, make sure everyone comes out to support the seniors.  I will have a kleenxe ready because I am sure I will shed a tear or two at this one.

Last night everyone in the LaVille high school gym got to see something special.  Aubrey Minix broke Shanna Zolman’s state 3-point record.  Zolman’s record was 319 3-pont baskets.  Currently Minix owns it with 322.  Congrats Aubrey!

FOX28 video clip

On behalf of the Oregon-Davis community I want to thank Dean for covering this event for us.  Fox28 was the only tv crew there.  I have seen him many times make the long trip from South Bend to cover the girls and it is appreciated. 

Thanks Dean for grabbing a picture of me with the mic.  I think I would make a great reporter.  Are there any openings at Fox28???  (just kidding, I really should stick to my photography job)

Chris walked into the studio and said it was going to be all business.  (he is known for doing goofy stuff)  Yeah right Chris, it didn’t take long before he was putting on a girly hat and playing tea party. 

I just love Robyn and Chris.  We have so much fun together.  I am so glad they have one of the sweetest and cutest little girls ever.  And I am so glad you allowed me to document her first year starting even before she was here with your maternity pictures.  It has been awesome for me to be a part of her childhood memories. 

PS… Robyn get into your facebook and change your profile picture to your family picture I just shot.  (do it or else LOL)

I have taken Emma’s pictures since she was in her mommy’s belly.  Isn’t she just the cutest little girl ever.  It has been so much fun watching you grow up.

Nolan is such a sweet baby.  I knew he liked me from the minute he was carried into the studio.   He was in his car seat and I talked baby talk to him and he had the biggest grin on his face.  I love happy babies!!!  Sarah, it was so nice to see you again, make sure you bring Nolan back to see me.

I am far from cool.  I am not a snazzy dresser (heck- you can tell I am not cool because I said snazzy).  I do my own thing I and don’t worry about what others think.   That is how I have always been. I am a leader not a follower.  Growing up, I had very few times where I fell into peer pressure.

However…. I am apart of something that is really HOT right now.  And I am so glad that I fell into peer pressure and got a facebook account.  And now… I am addicted. (don’t tell Bob- he thinks I am working)

It is an awesome way to connect with old friends and meet some new ones.   (I recently have connected with several people I use to go to high school with, it is awesome to see what they are doing now over 10 years later.  And I just recently met an awesome new friend that has been a blog stalker (hi Nichole).  We plan on getting together next month for a fun photo shoot because she is a photographer also. )

You can also have groups setup.  My cousin Robyn just set up a Jernas Family group.  I am excitted and hope that takes off so we can keep in touch with family alittle more.

Seems like the high school and college crowd all know this but hey you 30+ people (me included in that age group) Facebook is for us also.  You wouldn’t believe how many people are on here.  So take two minutes and get signed up.

Just a quick hi to everyone that I talked to at the Bridal Fair.  The Fashion show was the best I had ever seen.  The girls were stunning and the guys…. well the guys totally made the show.  They were so much fun.  Travis- you just had to get the ball rolling didn’t you. 

Special thanks to my seniors Kelsi and Allison for participating in the fashion show.  I hope you had fun.  The dresses in the show came from Treat’s For Her and the tuxes from Treat’s Squire Shop both from Plymouth Indiana.
