The evening was perfect.  Rose (Yocasta’s daughter) did an awesome job planning a fun-filled evening.  She had a band, magician, tarot card reader and a room packed full of  family and friends.   She also traveled to the Dominican Republic where Yocasta is originally from and recorded greetings from family and friends and put together an awesome video that made everyone laugh and cry.   Huge thanks to Mandy for telling Rose to call me.  I really enjoyed myself and left there feeling like a part of the family.

I gotta include this picture… Jim took it of me when we were getting his setting on his camera and I really like it, I am a big ham but don’t usually take that good of a picture.  Thanks Jim for helping out and also for grabbing this shot.  I wanted to get a picture in front of the blue chip building but it was raining so that didn’t happen, oh well.

Cassandra is such a sweetie!  I hated that we had such a rainy, cold and windy day.  One thing that was super cool about Cassandra is she brought her grandma with her.  Who does that???  That is awesome that she will always remember that her mom and grandma were with when she had her senior pictures taken.  Oh, and I couldn’t let them get away without grabbing a shot of them all together. bucklesmarch2009_32bw1

The perfect action shot (almost)

Monday, March 9th, 2009

I am not the best sports shooter in the world, but I love it anyways.  It is fun to try to capture that perfect action shot, and shooting basketball is my favorite sport.  There are three things that sometimes get in my way of getting the perfect shot… a REFERRE, a REFERRE, a REFERRE. (yeah their are usually three of them on the court)  UGHH  I can’t be mad though, they are just doing their job.  Here is the almost perfect shot… (although, now I kinda like the fact that their is a ref head in it, kinda makes the shot unique I guess)

Gotta share this shot too.  Caley and Nicole (the crazy girls to the right), I had so much fun watching you guys in the cheer section.  Keep having fun thru your senior year, it will be over way to fast.bb-sectionalmarch2009_48-copy

And thanks to whoever gave my daughter the paw print tatoo.  It is still on her little hand.  She threw a fit and wouldn’t let me wash it off.  She wanted to show her friends at school. (oh well, things could be worse right)  And I have to say I had the best mom and daughter evening with her.  We jammed to music on the way to the game.  Also I just loved seeing her in the stand cheering with the big girls, she is growing up so fast.

And one final thing… gotta say hi to my buddy Bob Willinski from the LaPorte Herald.  I am lucky to have so many awesome photographer friends.

Four kids at one time isn’t easy, but I am always up for a challenge.  And I actually got lucky because they did pretty darn good.  Espicially Connor, for his age he did amazingly well. I got a ton of good ones of him. I think part of it was the extra help that came (thanks Marlene and Rick).

Photographers Hanging Out (Indiana & Alabama)

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

What do photographers do when they get together??  They Jump Up For Joy!!!  LOL  Here is Me and Nichole showing off our moves with Bridget behind the camera.  We are working the one light outside despite freezing our butts off!  (gotta love my crazy jumping face, although I think Nichole’s is alittle crazier)goetz-march1-2009_34

Actually they came over to learn some studio lighting and to help me get a family photo.(I think I made out better on the deal)  I will order this later this week as a 16×20 canvas.  I soo needed another one for my brick wall in the living room and this will be perfect.

Samantha took a group picture of us three amigos.  She did soo good, I was worried the camera would be too heavy for her but she kept it really still.  The only thing she did do was held down the shutter snapping like 6 images right in a row.
