Some of my friends know I have gotten to the point where I can’t stand bw and color because I think it gets over done, but this is one picture I think would actually look better this way.  Also I changed the last letter from yellow to green, it looks way better that way.  PS  notice the E is a little slanted, well the baby was doing some kicking while we were taking this picture, I think it was trying to kick the E right off there.

This was an easy session for me.  Amanda and Jeremy are photographers and brought a ton of ideas with them.  I love when that happens.  I hope everything goes smoothly for you guys.   Make sure you take a ridiculous amount of pictures, you will be happy you did.

I had to post this next one…everyone needs a brother like this.  (I have one)

fletcherapril2009_11

I was super excited about this photo session…why??? Because Sarah posted on her facebook how excited she was and how it has been so long since she has had a family picture.  It was such a fun shoot.  Nolan is one of the best babies ever and despite being tired (he even yawned) he did really good for us.  Sarah I hope you love your photos, I think it is great that you rounded up the guys and got this done.  Nolan will cherish them, especially the ones I took of him and grandpa.

Riley and Haylie are cousins.  They got their pictures taken for their grandma.  Isn’t that too sweet!

Caiden and all his cuteness was in the studio today.  I shot his mom and his dad’s senior pictures not all that long ago.  (Jamie and I were talking about how fun it like it was yesterday and how Samantha was hanging out when I was shooting her studio stuff.  Oh Jamie, I even took you to Walmart, do you remember that. )  Anyways, Caiden is going to be ONE!  He is spoiled, that is for sure, and loves his mommy, daddy and basketball.  Some day he will walk, but for now he would rather crawl or have his mom carry him around.  (Brandon was the same way).  Enjoy, time goes way too fast trust me.

Scott is an outdoors kinda guy so we did 95% of his pictures outside.  Sooo glad we had the most perfect evening for him.  It was nice to be able to just do my thing and not worry about freezing my butt off (mom-don’t leave any comments about my butt still being there, I know I have a big butt).

Scott- don’t forget to send me some of those South Central students you know my way.  (just don’t tell them about how bad I am at singing, they can find that out for themselves)

Can you tell I am in a black and white mood.  I think I might be posting some bw in my next blog post too.  I love bw, I think it makes an image even more timeless.

I know Avalon’s entire family (cousins, grandparents, yep like everyone).   So I wanted to take a second to say hi because I am sure they will all be visiting the blog to check out her pictures.  Make sure you leave me a comment so I know you were here.

I have one last picture to share.  We did some fun stuff on the trampoline and afterwards I did a picture of Avalon with her niece Claudia and her best buddy Rebecca.

zach-16x20-big-collage-000001

I just wanted to share a custom made collage for Zach.  They had about 18 images they loved  so I made up a collage with all of them.  I think this one is going to be printed as a 16×20, but would be super cool as a 20×30 too.  I am going to print one up for the studio so in the next week or so I should have my copy to show off.

Oregon-Davis Senior Class of 2009

classof2009border1

This is the third time the OD senior class has asked me to take their class picture and I really appreciate that, espicially since I took most of their senior pictures.  This year didn’t go as smoothly as it usually does and I want to apologize to them for that.  Normally I handle all the orders and this time the school wanted to and then didn’t follow thru.

Since things were so confusing for you guys I wanted to make the photo available for you to purchase in my storefront.  I am also not going to charge you shipping.  You need to put class2009 in the coupon code.  That discount will only be good until the end of the month.  Thank you parents and students for being so understanding.  Next year I will make sure I take care of it myself like I did in the past.

See you guys at commencement!

Class of 2009 Seniors Time is Running Out!

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

I scheduled two more seniors today.  Which means I don’t have many time slots left.  As I mentioned in an earlier post I will not be shooting in May because I am having surgery. (I will still take orders in May, just no shooting)

I still have a couple time slots for Saturday the 25th, One slot for Thursday the 30th and that is about all I can handle.  If you know someone that hasn’t had them done yet please tell them to call right away.  I would hate for someone not to get taken care.

Also, Don’t forget seniors I can make Open House cards for you!

Class of 2010…. This spring has been terrible weather wise and has made shooting hard on me and the seniors, please keep this in mind and try to schedule your senior pictures this summer when it is warm (I don’t like to be cold).

Echo is such a sweetie and was a trooper to deal with the wind and cold (I think I complained more then she did, and I had a coat on the entire time).  We got super lucky and got outside stuff right before it rained. Echo brought her boyfriend Alex, which itsn’t always the best idea but considering they have been together since Freshman year it was a must that they get some pictures together.  They are so darn cute together.

One my mom took of Me and Bob…april2009_258

And Bob is gonna kill me, but I had to share this one of him holding Asheley’s flowers and helping with the veil.   Bob was an awesome assistant.  He held coats, the flowers, carried my crap, and was helpful posing,  he sees little things I don’t.  Oh and he saved the day with his pocket knife huh Asheley.  I am a lucky girl to have such a great guy.

april2009_053

Sorry not to share more but Asheley and Eric are private people unlike me so I scaled down my posting.  The rest of their images will be in their gallery soon, please ask them for the password.

In case you didn’t know it, Asheley is my cousin, (her grandma Peggy is a cousin to my dad),we have always been close since we went to the same school and know the same people.  Oh, and one of my favorite pictures ever is one I took of her sister Connie Jo.  Thanks Asheley for asking me to be your photographer, I had fun.  Also I wish you happiness always!
