Indiana Photography: Jessica Trash The Wedding Dress
I know what some of you are thinking (espicially Diane J.). Why would you get in the river and the pool in your wedding dress?? Why not? The Trash the Dress session isn’t really about trashing the dress, actually no dress was harmed in creating these pictures, it just got wet. No problem though because it was headed for the cleaners anyways. Actually it had a couple stains on it from the wedding day.
The reason we do the session is to create photos couldn’t be taken on the wedding day, and also to create additional memories before the poor dress gets stuffed in a box for eternity. Jessica and her mom Tammy had been planning so long for the wedding and then the day comes and goes so quickly. It was another chance to get the dress back on and have some fun.
I can’t take credit for the pool part of the session, Elizabeth (from Elizabeth’s Garden) is the one that came up with that idea. She knew we were doing the shoot because she made the bouquet for it and she called me up and told me what she was thinking. Which reminds me I have to tell Donna L. huge thanks for the use of the pool.
Thank you so much Tammy and Jessica for such an awesome evening!!! I couldn’t have asked for easier people to work with. I hope you are talking about it for years to come.

I absolutely loved the 5th picture! I also liked the 8th and 13th pictures. That was such a neat idea, taking those pictures. I’m sure it was a lot of fun.

They all look great. If I would have to pick I like the 2nd and 9th. It looks like fun was had by all!!! What a cool way to have an excuse to wear your dress one more time!

It’s hard to say which is my favorite, because with such a beautiful model how can you pick just one?? If I had to pick one that I thought was best for “trash the dress” I would have to say 3 or 13…although 7 and 10 remind me most of Jess’ personality…thank you so much for doing the pictures Jamie it’s was great to see my beautiful bride in her wedding dress again..and I don’t think she was too heart broken about getting to wear it again either!!

The first one of her in the pool (the close up on the raft) is gorgeous! Very unique too – I could totally see a modern bride magazine w/ this pic on the cover! I never heard of these type of post-wedding bride in dress sessions – great idea!

I really like the first one…everyone has different taste, and there is something about the last one that catches me…I’d really love to see that one in color. The blue in the water is beautful.

I loved the second pic the best. However, the red shoe pic is mighty cool!! And I think the last one coming out of the pool is neat. I agree with Kyle about Jess’ fun personality shining through number 7 and 10. This is a really fun concept….It makes me want to dig out my dress after 22 years

Hi Jayme! My favorite is the one where she is on the staircase, and my second favorite is where she is leaned back in the inter tube (9th one down). I do really like the one in Knox though too. Jessica is so smiley! Every time I see her she is smiling too, she is always so nice. It looked like you guys had a lot of fun.

I like #7 the best. It is different and fun. Wouldn’t it be fun to find people with old cars to replace the ones in the picture with older rustic ones. It looks like an old time town with the old buildings and old style of lamp posts, minus the stop sign and modern cars. Still fun without that though. Great idea to do pictures like this after all the wedding festivities.

I really like the first one, her expression is like “Hmm, that water sure looks inviting, but do I dare?” I like the one with her going down the slide too, but then the one in the middle of town in those “red shoes” really caught me eye too. Cool ideas!!

Jess you are so beautiful its hard to chose a favorite! The rusty staircase is an awsome pic! Also Red heels on Main St. is Flipping sweet too!! Great job….Fun! Fun!
