Some of my favorite people; Nathan (my cousin), Alivia (Bob’s 2nd cousin), Samantha (Bob’s 2nd cousin) and Kyle (no biological relation to us but we love him the same). 

I am not always for bringing your boyfriend with to senior pictures but in a case like this  I am all for it.  First off, Sam and Kyle have been dating for like 4 years and Nathan and Alivia, well I think she has been to two Christmas’ so if that is an idea of how long.  Anyways when it is someone you are totally comfortable and can help make you smile then it is a good idea!   Plus Nathan is my cousin and Kyle sometimes shoots with me so we are all one big happy family.  LOL 

Kyle (aka Sam’s boyfriend) shoots with me sometimes, so he helped me when out by holding a light and setting up shots.  At the end he threw an old fashion hat on to make Sam smile.  (It worked)  And then he thought it was be even funnier if I had it on.  (yep it was)    I wish we would have got a normal nice shot of me and the girls, but no we had to get a crazy shot… (thanks for taking it Kyle)

After we were done and heading to the house for some pizza Kyle says… “I can’t believe you get paid to do this, every shoot I have been on you always have fun.”  Hey what can I say, I am doing what I love.  Oh and Kyle don’t forget I get stuck in front of the computer editing the pictures and that part isn’t so fun.

Kayla’s  shoot goes down as the most I ran around for a senior session.  We went all over the Culver Academy Campus.  It was fun though, we laughed alot.  Oh and we wore Kayla’s little brother out and he crashed in the car before we were done.  And I am pretty sure Kayla’s friend Kara slept good that night too.  LOL   I did have a funny story to tell about Kayla’s mom Kim but she paid me hush money so I can’t share that one.

In case you were wondering why we shot at Culver… Kayla attended camp there during the summers.  She must have been pretty popular because while we were walking around shooting several people ran up and gave her hugs and yelled out her name.  I felt like I was shooting a celebrity.    Oh and the night shots weren’t our intention.  We had planned on shooting by the sailboat when were first got there but there were a ton of boys running some drills right there were we planned on being so we did that last and well it got dark on us.  Bummer, but we still got some cool shots for her.  I want to tell you all I had fun and probably lost a couple pounds which was good.  I need to run around alittle more often these days.

My favorite thing about Brooke is her laugh.  I caught several super cute laughs and great big smiles… 

Brooke and her sis and her doggies.  (This was the funniest part of the shoot, wish we had video running on this also.  Two funny girls + two puppies= lots of laughing.  Oh and her dad was there too, he cracked me up trying to get the dogs attention.)

Alittle behind the scence stuff.  I grabbed a studio shot of Kim (the sis) and Jill (the cousin) fixing Brooke’s hair but I totally forgot I got this one in the field.  The wind was blowing and well, we had hair issues like every 5 seconds. 

Like I mentioned before Brooke has an amazing smile and looks super cute laughing.  She has such a sweet fun personality and I hope that I did a good job catching that for her.  I want to tell her sister Kim and cousin Jill thanks for the help with the hair and for the laughs.  I am a firm believer in bring friends and family to a shoot but only if they are people you can totally be yourself with, like your sister, bestest cousin or bestest friend.

Once and awhile I tell the senior to look at their mom and say “I love you mom”  I am telling you I get a smile every time.  And I am a mom and know how nice it is to hear I love you from your kid.  By the way Mom, (aka Debbie Jernas)  I love you!
