Have a wonderful day!!!

Paging Doctor Jayme

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

It is a good thing that I didn’t decide to be a doctor, I look terrible in a shower cap.  Actually at the facility I was at they called it a bunny suit.  (why a bunny suit when I didn’t look anything like a bunny???)  Anyways, I got to look like a doctor for a couple hours while I photographed a surgical facility in Mishawaka.  I would love to share pictures from the shoot but since it was a commercial shoot and they will be used for advertisment I am not allowed at this time.  However I can share a photo that will for sure not be used on a billboard and that is this lovely self portrait of me….

unity325edit.jpg

I probably should have editted out my double chin I am showing in this photo but oh well, that is what happens when you do self portraits, I don’t actually have one in real life.

In case anyone from last weeks shoot finds this, I want to say a big Hi! and thanks to everyone for being so helpful.  I got a ton of amazing photos, and I think the majority of them are great because the people in them love what they do.  I will be back in a couple weeks to the main facility to finish up on headshots and another little project so I will see some of you then.

*On a side note…. I am such a computer geek, as soon as I got up I got on the computer and ordered my CS4.  It is downloading to my computer as I type this.  So I will be editting all day today!!!  I can’t wait.  You know I do have a degree in computer programing so it is hard habbit to break.

Special Memories made at Hensler’s Fall Fest

Friday, October 10th, 2008

This past weekend we went and got pumpkins.  This is the first year Hensler’s are doing the fall thing.  We let the kids run around and play (lots to see and do), then we ate (hot dogs and apple pie!!!), then we took a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch!  Here are some photos from the day…

headed out to the pumpkin patch in style… Culver Carriage Company are out at henslers pulling the wagons, they are such nice people.  They have had carriages at a couple weddings I have shot and it really is pretty.

My good buddy Sara just happened to be their with her kids (who have been on the blog a time or two) and her mom and sister Amy.  We had so much fun on the wagon ride.  Maddison helped Samantha carry her pumpkin.  It was just tooo cute.  My poor nephew Zack had an allergic reaction to the straw but Mike was such a sweetie and let him ride up front with him.

pumpkin-patch2.jpg

Ohhh, I almost forgot… there was a guy there making balloons for the kids, he made a super cool pumpkin one.  The kids were gathered around him forever.(look at their faces how in awww they were over his talents)  We also seen Conner there (he’s on the blog alll the time too).

pumpkin-patch1.jpg

Huge thanks the the Hensler Nursery crew and Culver Carriage Company for making our day at the pumpkin patch so much fun.  It is so nice that we have such a great place so close to home.  And thanks to all our family and friends for the special memories.   Everyone needs to take time out of their busy schedule and make memories like this, and don’t forget to take your camera with you!!!!  See everyone again at Hensler’s when we go to get our tree!!!

Just two more photos… I grabbed these shots of the reindeer out there.  I don’t think they still have their antler’s on at Christmas time so I am glad I caught these shots.

Models Wanted!!!

Monday, October 6th, 2008

On October 24th Matt and Sarah will be at the Dunes and they need models.  Who are Matt and Sarah, well they are some on-line friends of mine from New York that are traveling around the world doing what they love (taking photos).  They will be using these for stock photography so they will need releases for the photos.  You will get editted images on disc for your time.

I am gonna try to get out there to meet up with them so I should be out there for a few hours as well.  They plan on being out there from noon to five central time.

If I head out there I might be willing to take a senior or two out there and get some stuff, I won’t charge for travel since I would be going out there anyways.

Please contact me if you are interested.   Their traveling blog is www.wewillexplore.com   and here is their wedding site http://www.pictureinfinity.com/  (their wedding site is really cool)

If you know people that live near the Dunes area please send them to here to they get the message as well.  I would love to help out Matt and Sarah because they are super people and I think it is awesome what they are doing.

Jackie gets ready for the big storm…

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Remember my friend Jackie…well she currently calls Houston home.  She is documenting the storm with her camera.  (yeah she is into photography too)

She was featured on CNN’s ireport and her photos were even on CNN TV live.  I am such a proud friend… http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-84267

As soon as I seen her shots I told her she needed to send them in.  She has had photos featured before, but I don’t think they actually made it to TV.

Be safe Jackie and keep us posted!

My Airplane Adventure

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

How could the weekend get any better after Saturday.  I shot the auction that was alot of fun, when I got home my hubby made a killer meal on the grill and we looked thru old year books and laughed at ourselves and our friends.  (well, we laughed at Bob’s 7th grade picture and just about ever photo of my brother).  Anyways… so how could the weekend get any better.

Well… I will tell ya.  Sunday morning  I got to go riding horses with Dad, Daryl, Gwen and Miranda.  Which by the way horseback riding is my favorite thing to do.  Then we had lunch at mom’s house (eating-another favorite thing).  Once we got done Daryl asked Dad and I if we wanted to go on a plane ride.  Well, heck ya.  Daryl flew into Starke Airport from Bourbon to go riding horses with us.  Anyways, so I got to ride in the airplane with him.  It was AWESOME.  I do have to be honest though I thought I was going to loose my lunch at the landing.  It was alittle windy and with me trying to take pictures, I just got a bad sick feeling.  Luckily for Daryl I made it thru without incident.  I want to say a huge THANK YOU! for an experience of a lifetime.  Not too many people can say they got to fly over their own house.  I have to warn you the photo quality isn’t the best.  I was shooting thru the window and the ride was alittle rough so some images didn’t come out at all.  I think I even hit my lens on the window once, but I had my lens hood on so no worries.

this is to show my friend Allison how it is out here.  She lives near D.C.  Hi Allison!  Oh and the arror actually is pointing to the metal shed.  The Studio is totally blocked by the trees just to the left.  (DAH- hey it is late)

One last photo of Daryl (are you people sick of seeing his mug yet?)..  This last one I decided to give it a vintage look.  I think it is fitting.

plane-ride-2008_090sepiah.jpg

And in case you are wondering…I did take some self portraits and Dad even snapped a few of me, but I am not sharing.  It was at the end of the trip and I was sweating and well, looked just plain terrible and still felt terrible too, so those won’t be for public viewing.  LOL   I hope everyone gets to have a wonderful day weekend like I did.

Ball Auction and Realty Group Part Two

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

In case you missed part one here is a link.. http://www.photographybyjayme.com/wordpress/archives/1381

On Saturday Gwen and I travelled to Bourbon, IN to photograph the Border Estate for Daryl and crew.  We had a blast.  It was so much fun for us, there were a ton of people there and Daryl and his crew were on a roll.  I won’t bore you with words, I will just show you pictures….

The staff! (there is one missing from the photo but I don’t feel too bad for her because I guess she was off enjoying a vacation)  Oh and big waves to Kacie who is the short one in the front row.  She is Daryl’s right hand girl.  She runs all over the place for him.

I had to post this picture… it was one of those you had to be there moments.  Daryl had everyone cracking up and poor Larry was at the other end of the joke.  Really I don’t know how he has stuck with Daryl so long.

Here is the info on the above thumnails…. Steve and I, me doing what I love, my dad and Chet visiting, and the final picture is Becky who is one of my blog stalkers.  Thanks Becky for coming up to me and introducing yourself.  You and your hubby are super people, hopefully I will see you guys again soon.  And this final image is a shot I took of my purchase.  I bought this old camera.  I thought it looked neat and I like that it came with the box.  I will have to do some research on it.  I know nothing about old cameras.

ball-bourban-2008_257-copy.jpg

Thanks everyone for making the day so much fun.  I can’t wait to work with you all again.  And stay tuned.  I hope to make a quick slide show with images from both weekend because I have so many good shots.  And, tomorrow I will have a special post.  Daryl enjoyed having his picture take so much he decided to have me take more on Sunday.  Sunday’s has nothing to do with auctions but has alot to do with his other passion….FLYING!
