Senior: Brittani from Knox High School

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Brittani is soo much like her mom it is crazy.  I had so much fun with you Brittani despite that terrible weather.  Thanks again for helping make Bo smile during his family session, oh and for putting up with my cat.  (tickle, tickle, LOL)

Senior: Kassy from Oregon-Davis School

Monday, November 17th, 2008

I shot Kassy’s brother senior pictures a year or two ago.  I am so glad I got the chance to take Kassy’s pictures.  She is farm girl all the way!  I teased Kassy about being a farm girl, I hope she realized that I am a total farmer’s daughter myself.  Depsite the nasty weather we did manage to get some shots taken outside.  I love the horse shots.  I miss riding, I haven’t rode in weeks.  Partly because I have been busy, partly because my riding buddy (aka my dad) has also been busy.  I hope it will warm up some so I can go, I hate riding in the cold, that isn’t as fun.  Enough about me and lack of riding time, here are some of my favorite shots of Kassy…

Senior: Kelsi from John Glenn High School

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Kelsi is one of the sweetest, most mature senior I have ever met.  I know she is still trying to figure out what path she wants to take career wise but I know when she figures it out she will do awesome!  Kelsi brought her best buddy and neighboor with her and I am so glad she did, it was like the three of us hanging out more then a photo shoot.  (we even took pictures together at the end).  Something new I wanted to try out was this new slideshow program, tell me what you think…

And here are my favorite shots…

Here is our group shot… Sorry Kelsi not gonna post the dorky one, I think I looked way too dorky in it (more then usual).  I wish I would have fixed my hair for this.  Watch out Saturday sessions I am gonna straighten my hair for you!  Here is my favorite goofying off picture…

Thanks Kelsi for doing an awesome job and for the fun times.  Wish the weather would have been better so we could have taken that sunset picture you wanted.  (BUMMMER!)

Senior Pictures: Kaylee from Knox High School

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

If you know Kaylee you will understand why I was alittle worried about just doing studio with her (she isn’t a girlie girl at all, she is pretty tomboy) but from the very first shot she was very confident and rocked the entire shoot.  It was so much fun for me.  I don’t hide the fact that studio work is not my favorite, I would rather be outside shooting but Kaylee totally changed things for me, I am finally excitted about it.  I have a new backdrop on the way, I hope to get a couch in there, and try to do some different stuff to help keep me happy to be shooting in there. (Bob hated when I said I didn’t like shooting in the studio, because he did happen to put an entire summer into building the darn thing)  So huge thanks Kaylee for the awesome time and for getting me excitted about studio work again.  Here are several of my favorite shots from the evening…

I couldn’t decide which of these next two shots were my favorite so I am posting both…

Model: Kaylee

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Kaylee was suppose to go to the Indiana Dunes with me last friday to meet up with Matt and Sarah.  She was going to be their model.  Well since it rained and Matt and Sarah left early for Ohio I decided to take advantage of Kaylee and we did some fun stuff.  However we still had to deal with the rain so we didn’t get to do too much fun stuff.  But I was thrilled with what we got.  Thanks Kaylee for dealing with the weather and for going out to lunch with me.  I hope you like the pictures…  I LOVE this close-up of you.  That hat rocks!  To bad I look bad in hats or I would be borrowing it from you.

Kaylee really liked this next one when I showed it to her on the camera screen…  I tried something alittle different on post processing on a few of these.  I really like the effect on this shot.

I had to get some light on her face so I needed my flash, but didn’t want to risk my flash getting wet, so I did what I could with a ziploc bag…

img_1138.jpg

Oh, I almost for got… poor Kaylee got a mosquito in her eye.  It was terrible, took forever to get out.  She was a trooper though and as soon as she fixed her make-up we were back to shooting.  Have a wonderful day all, it is perfect outside.  I think I will take the kids to the park for awhile.  We won’t get many more days like this one.

Senior: Vanessa from North Judson High School

Monday, October 27th, 2008

I have known Vanessa for several years thru 4-H.  She is so much fun and such a sweetie.  4-H is going to miss her that is for sure.  I think she needs to come back and be a dog leader or something.  Just won’t be the same without her.

Here is my favorite shot of the day… (Vanessa-you are such a beautiful girl)

Vanessa was one of my Starke County Super Seniors.  Here is her individual shot from that project…

img_2805-copy.jpg

Huge thanks to Vanessa’s mom and dad.  We shot her pictures Friday morning.  (yep, it rained, rained hard at times)  We shot in between rain drops and just made it work.  They dealt with the animals and running stuff back and forth to the truck so Vanessa and I could stay dry.  Thanks!

Senior: Chad from Knox High School

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

I have to admit, I was totally bummed when Chad pulled up, because his mom wasn’t with him.  I haven’t seen her for years.  His mom use to hang out with my aunt and when I was younger I was attached to my aunt’s hip.  So Angie we’ll have to meet up some other time.  However maybe no mom was a good thing, because Chad did an awesome job for me, which I was worried about because he was a typical guy and didn’t really care about pictures.  Luckily he was a sweetie and just did what I said.  Here are a few of my faves….

I love this shot even though I rarely love a studio shot, but he has the best smile ever in this one…

Chad also brought his girlfriend with.  If I remember right they have been together since elementary school.  (how awesome is that!)

Senior Pictures: Allison- Oregon-Davis High School

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Allison is another repeat customer, I did her brother Andrew’s senior pictures last year.  I got some really good shots with him too.  We had the perfect evening.  They sky was amazing!!!  As you can tell lately, I am obsessed with the sky.   And Allison did an awesome job for me, I have a ton of favorites to share…

are you sick of my sky pictures yet???  I know I do them allll the time, but I figure the sky is different all the time so not really the same picture.

BIG thanks to Allison and her wonderful parents for such a nice evening of photography.  I love it how I always get such great seniors to work with!

Senior Pictures: Paschina Plymouth High School

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

I have known Paschina for a couple years now.  I did her sister’s senior pictures.  Makes me feel good that they were happy with my work to come back for a second round.  Thanks for the fun times and make sure we get to hang out at one of the OD girls basketball games.  One game I am gonna have to not shoot and hang out in the stands with you silly people.

Okay, enough talk, here are a few of my faves…

paschinaoct08_28td-copy.jpg

I did this same shot with her sister….

paschinaoct08_13text-copy.jpg

HOT STUFF!!!!  You both look amazing in this next shot!

paschinaoct08_25-copy.jpg

This is sooo totally Paschina who is one of the most social people I know.  Pretty much she has never met a stranger.  I am sooo glad we thought of grabbing her cell because to me these are the most natural shots.  I am sure this is what her mom sees all the time.

Love ya girls, thanks for the fun times.  When you gals graduate from college you will have to have sister pictures taken again.   Angie-you have two amazing girls here, great job super mom!

Senior Pictures: Josh from North Judson High School

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Josh is one of the Starke County Super Seniors for 2008-09.  He is super sweet, but he can get mean if he wants to.  Check out all these thick pieces of wood he has broke in half….

joshoct2008_41-copy.jpg

Anyone else as impressed as I was.  When they walked in the studio with a basket full of broken boards I am like what are those for.  His mom told me he broke all them.  I am like no way… too cool.  Oh and he also has a cool sword…

joshoct2008_35-copy.jpg

Either Josh or his mom spotted this location…

joshoct2008_16-td-copy.jpg

This is one of my faves…  (we have been having some amazing sunsets lately!!)

Thanks Josh for being so much fun and for fighting the mosquitos with me!!!

Senior Pictures: Chris

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Chris almost had the perfect day for senior pictures.  The weather was nice, but the mosquitos were attacking like crazy.  Honestly I had to edit out more mosquitos in his session then I ever had total the entire time I have done photography.  I felt terrible.  Of course there wasn’t anything I could do about it, but it really took the fun out of it.  I think despite the terrible conditions he did a great job.

I want to start off with this photo.  I love it.  Chris grabbed two guys along side the road and said “hey, you want to be in my senior pictures?”  (just kidding, actually the one of the left is his twin brother)

Stinks how dark it gets so early in the evening.  At least I am getting alot of cool sunset pictures, and even a moon too.

Thanks Chris for not complaining about the bugs, you were a trooper!
