Before I post pics, I have to say thanks to Stephen and his mom Debbie for driving all the way from Oak Forrest, IL to have me do his senior pictures.  And huge thanks to his friend Kaitlin for telling him about me.   I know he is wearing the same shirt in most of these but we really liked him with this look, and I did take pics of a couple other shirts but these were my faves.

Note to my photographer friends, all the photos I took that are shown on here were taken with my new 70-200 2.8 lens, I am sooo loving it.  Thanks Allison for telling me to spend the money, it is sooo worth it.  I took some good ones with my 24-70, but the ones that were my faves were with the 70-200.

This little girl has a huge personality!  Here are a couple of my faves, and one of her and her good buddy Hayden too.  (oh and I barely helped this little diva out on posing, she knew what she was doing… just look at her little foot all pointed like that, she is something else)

Last Friday my nephew Josh stopped by to show off his pretty girlfriend before they went to a formal at South Central.  It was soooo cold and windy when they stopped by I felt so bad for Angelina in that little dress, so I grabbed a couple shots and let her get back in the truck. 

I am very excitted to announce that on Monday, June 2nd at 5pm the Class of 2009 Super Senior Photo will be released to the public at the Starke County Library in Knox.  I will be there for at least 30 mins but the photo will stay there for almost two weeks and then it will continue on its’ tour of the county.  The touring photo is 60 inches wide (yep it is huge).   

Any student that appears in the photo that shows up to the library while I am there will receive a mini photo of the group shot.  If anyone is in the area please stop by and see it and support our top students.  I think they will appreciate you being there and I know I would love to see everyone.  Plus if you are a blog stalker make sure you let me know, I will try to get a photo will my stalkers to post on the blog.

I was feeling under the weather for this one (just a sinus infection and allergies) but I managed.  It was alot of fun, espicially with one of the sweetest dogs ever.  Actually I have shot pooh bear the dog before at her house when I did Sarah’s family session a couple years ago.  Anyways… we had to have the dog in the photos because Thad had the doggie help him to propose to Sarah.  Here are just a few from our shoot…..

There is nothing more touching then kids doing great things for other kids.  Oregon-Davis has several students and staff with cancer.  The kids can see actual people battling this terrible disease.  They wanted to do something to honor those special to them.  They took place in a walk and also made bags that they placed along the track.

If you want to do something special for people you know that are battling cancer take part in the Starke County Relay For Life.  It will take place May 31st-June 1st.  12pm to 6am, at the Starke Co. Fair Grounds Hamlet, IN.

Opening Ceremony 3:00pm  Luminaria Ceremony 9:00pm  If you would like more info and to sign up go to www.events.cancer.org/rflstarkecoin  My family will be there supporting the organization in memory of Grandma Marjorie and Grandpa Schulz.  I will also get a luminary in honor of an 8th grader that I recently met Christina Rotering, Grover & Ann Goetz, and for Randy Pausch who has inspired me.  If you want to be inspired by Randy too check his ”last lecture” out on you tube…  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo  He is a professor who is dying from pancreatic cancer.  His lecture isn’t about cancer but about achieving your dreams.  Okay, I talk to much…here are some images from the OD Relay for Life.

In case you can’t read it the back says “In honor of Jackie Cooper:  The best friend I have ever had.”  Jackie is a young boy that has been battling cancer.

This is the second year they asked me to shoot their class picture.  Last year I had someone in the photo twice so I did it again.  (can you see who it is).   The kids like to challenge me, I also had someone come late and had to put her in there also.  Oh well, that is what I am here for.  Congrats to all you seniors and good luck!

David and Jennifer were married at the Plymouth Wesleyan Church and their reception was at THE FEAST in Lakville.  The entire day was awesome.  Here are just a few shots that I grabbed to share while they wait for their proofs.  (warning lots of photos)

Jennifer’s grandma gave her this locket, I just love this shot and I love how Jennifer honnored her memory that way.

I had an additional session with Will because his car wasn’t ready for his first session.  His dad did the paint job.  And I didn’t want to post any pics of Lauren in her senior prom dress until after prom.  (I kinda forgot about posting them but my mom is wanting to see the dress).  I think it looks like something you would see the movie stars wear as they are headed to the oscars.  And it helps that Lauren fits in it just perfectly.
