Jackie gets ready for the big storm…
Friday, September 12th, 2008Remember my friend Jackie…well she currently calls Houston home. She is documenting the storm with her camera. (yeah she is into photography too)
She was featured on CNN’s ireport and her photos were even on CNN TV live. I am such a proud friend… http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-84267
As soon as I seen her shots I told her she needed to send them in. She has had photos featured before, but I don’t think they actually made it to TV.
Be safe Jackie and keep us posted!

Friday, September 12th, 2008Just one for now Ryan. Who I know is dying to see his pictures. I have ALOT of photoshop work to do on the bridge for obvious reasons to those that know the bridge at the Knox part. Usually it is blurred enough I just don’t worry about it but since Ryan jumped off the bridge and it is in focus I need to do something about it.
Don’t worry I will post a few more previews within the next few days. Shooting a wedding tomorrow so won’t be until Sunday the earliest.

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008Ryan and Elisha’s Amazing Wedding
Wednesday, September 10th, 2008Ryan and Elisha met in Culver so they decided to get married in Culver. Elisha is super sweet and Ryan is oh so much fun. They totally compliment each other. And they have some AWESOME friends and family members. I had so much fun shooting them. (By the way, big waves to everyone, thanks for making my job sooo much fun!!)
I have to say I think overall this was my best wedding. Elisha asked for several different locations and I was able to spend alot of time shooting so I got a ton of amazing shots. And everyone knows that Culver Academy is my favorite place to shoot. I do have to say Gwen and I got a workout though. We walked our butts off, and poor Gwen did so carrying a light stand and whatever else I told her to carry for me. Here are a few of my faves from the day….
Look at these hot bridesmaids! (we had order some golf carts to be moved for this shot, they were right in our way, Beth took charge and got it done for me-it was so worth the effort.)
Loved these kids. Sam and Trevor did a good job getting up in the tree all by themselves.
This is the kind of fun I had to deal with all day. Not too many people can pull off a look like this… These guys had me cracking up all the time. (By the way thanks for the point and shoot camera recommendation, I went and bought one last night for my hubby!)
these next two images I took of the kids while they were in the balcony waiting for their time to walk down the aisle. the kids were so good and so easy to work with.
Elisha was stunning coming down the aisle and Ryan got alittle emotional seeing her, it was so sweet.
I love bubbles….
this next shot looks good in color too, the sky was so blue and we had puffy white clouds right then, had a hard time deciding which I liked best
when we started walking towards the lake Ryan was on his iphone, next thing you know he updated his facebook to let everyone know he was “officially off the market!” How funny is that.
love those blue skies!
My fave shot of the day was during the reception. I just love this shot. I use to do this with the girls basketball team all the time…. remember Britta, Candi, Laura, and Amy.
And I have a funny story to end this post with. I was out shooting Elisha and Ryan way out by the lake which is a long walk from the church, and Ryan gets a call that if my car isn’t moved in 15 mins it will be towed. I am like oh crap. So I asked them to stay with my car so I could finish shooting and then I ran and found this violation on the car….
Sorry campus police. LOL We won’t block the road ever again. LOL
And just one more big thanks to everyone for such a fun day… moments like this one of Ryan’s brother trying to get in my way of a shot makes me smile.

Random Stuff
Tuesday, September 9th, 2008Sometimes I think I am losing it. I thought I had a hair apt. today but it is next Tues. And I thought mine and Bob’s 10 yr anniversary was this weekend and it is next. So I am totally off a week in my mind. Very strange feeling. I think it is because I am swamped and just always running around like crazy.
Well, as you guys know I am booked for Sept and almost have October filled. I have decided I will not take any new clients for family and kid sessions for the rest of the year. Of course I will take new clients for senior sessions. So the only way you can book a session for kids or family is if you have already used me as a photographer. I hate to do that but I want to make sure I get all my seniors done before winter that want a session now and I want to make sure all my exsisting clients that have used me for years will have a time slot open to them. For example, my good buddy just emailed me the other day and said make sure you put me down for early November because I want to make sure we get on your calendar. Well, my good buddy I am talking about was my very first session ever so if I didn’t take care of her that would be terrible. Hope all of you out there understand, I am very appreciative of people who I photograph and I want to take care of them.
Coming soon…awesome wedding I did at Culver Academy on Saturday.

Thursday, September 4th, 2008No more available sessions in September.
Thursday, September 4th, 2008I am posting this because I have a hard time saying no, but I really can’t take any more in September. I have three weddings and a ton of seniors and other sessions for the month of September and I just can’t take any more. October is starting off pretty full already also, I have a wedding and several sessions already on the calendar.
Seniors please don’t wait to contact me if you need a fall date. Keep in mind I can still shoot thru the winter but I don’t like to work when it is really cold out. (I know I am a wimp)
I am planning on shooting the Knox/OD Volleyball game, and the Knox Homecoming Football game. I have been hired by certain parents for these so it will be my priority to get their kids pictures taken but when they are not in the game or not in action I will shoot the other team members. I will post them in my storefront a few days after the event.
I also hope to make it to Ladies Night Out on Sept 21st. Ladies if you haven’t got tickets yet make sure you do. Last year was a ton of fun, food was good and it was awesome to get together with a bunch of women. I have a family commitment that day but mom and I hope to sneak out early. Please make sure you come up and say hi. (it makes me feel like I am not talking to myself when I write in my blog so it is nice to know people read this thing).
Oh, and one more thing…brides don’t wait around to book me for 2009 wedding. I only take a limited amount of weddings and I already have several on the books.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Thursday, September 4th, 2008I have been taking this little squirts pictures since she was tiny. She usually has to share the spotlight with her two older sisters, but this time I got to just shoot her. She did an amazing job. Here are just a couple of my faves…
I love this next picture, you can see her little teeth, her chubby little hands and arms. And it shows off her personality just perfect!!!
