These cute, sweet, fun, crazy kids were in the studio the other day.

I am so excited about the book I am working on. I have a ton of kid models lined up for this. (Friday and Saturday will be CRAZY at the studio) I still have room where I could add extra pages, but I don’t “need” any more kids to fill the book, however if there is someone that you think would be upset if they weren’t included please say something to them. I know it has been hard for some parents to visualize what I am doing so I thought I would post some photos of the sample book I just got today. Keep in mind this probably won’t be the end look, I just wanted to order a sample so I could show you guys what it would look like and I tried out a couple different things in my sample book to see how they would print out.
So here it is…..

Each child that participates will have one photo and one question, answer and their age will be listed. Oh and just first name will be listed also. As you can see I just threw some photos in since I was in a hurry to get this sample back.
I am going to try to make this fun and memorable for the kid’s and their families. I am going to talk to the children’s librarian tomorrow about doing a book signing or some type of fun event when the books come in. If nothing else we will do a fun evening at the studio.
Thanks in advance to everyone that is helping me out with this. This will be a great fundraiser for Maggie and her family that is battling cancer. I will have a page in the book dedicated to Maggie and Jared.
PS If anyone has a great idea for a book title let me know. One tiny thing that I haven’t put much thought into.

I love this shot. Caught her daddy tickling her arm pit.

This little girl remind me so much of my Samantha at one. I actually think Sam was chunkier. I just love chubby babies. Kayla was crawling all over the place so I said, hey that’s okay we can make a cute collage out of that. I try not to force kids to do what I want to rather let them do what they do best.
Thanks Cale and Katie for bring your little girl to the studio. I can’t wait until those big blue eyes are looking at my camera again. (I am thinking next time we will be chasing after her as she walks around all over the place)

Love this next shot!

Next is one of my favorite newborn shots ever, I love how alert he is and how he is holding his daddy’s hand. Tooo cute.

Henry’s mom is special to me because she was one of my first seniors I photographed when I started my business. Actually I took Henry’s two aunt’s senior pictures as well. Aunt Becky’s picture is still hanging up in my studio.
Anyways, Henry likes me. I know this because he didn’t want to go to sleep for us. He wanted to stay up and play with me. Henry has lots of family and friends that will be there for him as he grows up. I can’t wait to watch this little guy grow up.
Oh and funny story about the shoot… I just got done saying let’s get a diaper back on him and what does he do… PEED all over. Luckily it was just on a blanket that washes easily. No worries, just glad he didn’t pee on me. :)
Kid’s say the cutest things don’t they. If we don’t write it down or video tape them those cute little comments are forgotten. I am working on a book that will feature kids and the funny or cute things they have to say.
I am in the need of a couple kid models. I want outgoing and fun kids!!! If you have a son or daughter between the ages of 3-8 please contact me very soon. (I am pretty sure as soon as I post this I will be flooded with emails) The best way is to contact me by email at jayme@photographybyjayme.com. Attached a snapshot of your kid (not necessary for the kids I photograph, or that I know)
I shot some of my kids last weekend, although I need to shoot some more of Samantha because we kinda ran out of time to do her hair because I had Britt coming for her senior session.
Here is what I am working on… (not sure on the layout yet, just want to get going on taking the pictures and figuring out what questions get good responses from the kids) And big thanks to my cousin Robyn who is helping me on this, she came up with lots of great questions for me. I am so excited about this project.

What a fun family! I loved hanging out with this gang. My favorite part was when I took pictures of each kid with their pet. I about died when Karson brought his turtle out. He was so proud of it.
Oh, and if you know the family and wondering who the “other” girl is. That is Melanie she is their exchange student from Germany. She is such a sweetie. I ended up seeing her later that night at the OD/NJ basketball game. While I was taking pictures she was in the stands waving like crazy.
Matt, Becky, Katelyn, Kolton, Karson and Melanie thanks and next time let’s shoot during the fall when we have less chance of yucky weather.
PS If you see one of them ask them about how we got locked out of the house. LOL (sorry Becky, I had to mention that)

This little squirt is always thinking about food so perfect I got a picture of her rubbing her big belly. Sparkle and Shine little Emma!

this next photo makes me laugh, I had to share it….

Oh how I love this little squirt. I have taken her photos back when she was in her mommy’s belly. It is always fun. She is so darn cute. You just want to pinch her checks and grab those thighs. Really, our photo session was so funny that if we taped it we could have made big money with it. I really should have thrown my camera in video mode a couple times.
Thanks Emma for all the laughs yesterday, can’t wait until you are back in the studio again.

Nick, Alice, Rachel and Carter were in town from Boston visiting family. They scheduled their session to be out at Hensler’s Nursery and we had lots of fun. Actually I had someone tell me they seen me and the girls marching. Ha Ha We did simon says too. I am sure I looked like a dork, but oh well, whatever it takes to make it fun for the kids.

Yesterday was Madison’s 6th birthday. Crazy that she is that old already.

Well, typically people leave here and say that they had fun, well not this time. Poor Cole was sooo tired. He even told us he just wanted to go home and take a nap. (crazy considering they were planning on going to Walmart and he was going to get a toy if he was good). Sara facebooked me that he was out just a couple miles down the road. I am just thankful we managed to get some good family photos. But still bummed we didn’t get the kids together. I thought for sure me singing him my Thanksgiving song that Sam and I wrote would have done the trick and got alot of smiles out of him, instead I think he cried even more.

Amy and Adam have such a wonderful family! I think it is awesome how close they all are. I had lots of fun yesterday morning taking their pictures. Oh but I was alittle scared at times. I thought the dog wanted to eat me and their bull came up right behind me and there was only a tiny electric fence in between us. Oh let me show you… Here is Adam petting his bull. I was about that close to it. There wasn’t alot of room between the barn and the fence so the bull was breathing down my neck making all sorts of sounds. And keep in mind, I am a cattle person and they usually don’t bother me but I had my back to him. The things a photographer must do to get a shot.
