Indiana Senior Photography: Elisabeth from Knox High School
Friday, July 2nd, 2010Had a blast hanging out with Elisabeth and her mom. Here are a few of her senior pictures….
these last 3 are my faves…
It was got dark fast Wednesday night, so at the end of the session I had to find some light from other sources.
Proud of this next shot, it was so dark my camera could barely focus, I am so bummed that I had taken my little flash light out of my bag when we had no power.
I also have some sports shots we took in the studio. I am gonna make a cool collage but don’t have the time today. I will get that done and posted early next week.
Thanks Elisabeth for doing so well, and to Judy for always having the comb ready!! :)
Starke County Indiana Super Seniors Class of 2011
Wednesday, June 30th, 2010Congrats to all 57 Starke County Indiana Super Seniors Class of 2011
TO VIEW THE PHOTO LARGER PLEASE CLICK HERE or you can go see the big picture in person at the Starke County Library in Knox (across from the Knox middle school) It will also be on display at the 4-H fair and then will make its rounds to 1st Source Bank and to all three schools.
Last night at the Starke County library in Knox we unveiled the big picture that will go on display around the county. In case you are wondering how the kids are chosen… there are 20 students from each school picked by their principal. I asked the principals to give me to top overall students. I want kids that are active at their school in clubs, sports and that are doing well academically. This is a huge honor to be a part of this elite group.
My mom snapped this picture of me after I took the black cover off and I thought I did a good job looking like one of those girls on the game shows so I thought I should post in hopes I get spotted by a talent scout.
Courtney posed for her mom’s camera with the big picture, so I had to get a shot of her too. She is pointing to herself. She cracks me up.
I want to say big thanks to Judy Caudill and 1st Source Bank for being a big supporter of the Super Senior Project. They donated Two $50 savings bonds. I donated a small scholarship and the winners were chosen at random because all the student are deserving of winning.
Thanks to all the students and parents that came out last night. The library said there was approximately 70 people with our group. Since there were a couple people I was unable to reach to let them know about the event I will allow the students that weren’t there to pick up their copy of the photo at the studio. You must call prior to coming to pick it up. 574-867-6776
Indiana Senior Photographer: Starke County Super Senior Reveal
Monday, June 21st, 2010Indiana Senior Pictures: Aaron First 2011 Senior
Monday, June 14th, 2010Here is my first 2011 senior session….
Aaron is a super nice guy. Even though he didn’t want senior pictures he was willing to get them taken for his mom. At first his mom was going to leave because she was afraid he didn’t want her around, but I am so glad I talked her into staying. I know how important this stuff is to the mom’s. I am having a hard time with my kids growing up and they are only 7 and 4, I am pretty sure I will be a mess when it comes time for their senior pictures.
Aaron- have a wonderful summer and so glad you were my first senior of the season! I had fun on our little adventure.
Indiana Photography: OD Class of 2010 Graduation
Saturday, June 5th, 2010The Valedictorians and Salutatorians…

My favorite parts were when the graduates gave flowers to their moms…

And when they walked down the aisle with big smiles on their faces…

Thanks for the fun times Class of 2010. So sad that you have graduated but exited for you guys. See ya tomorrow at the parties.
I will be posting more photos on facebook and eventually they will get in the storefront in case anyone needs to purchase prints.
Indiana Senior Pictures: Nathan from Oregon-Davis
Thursday, June 3rd, 2010Here he is… my last 2010 senior (well I think, unless someone else wants some really cool senior pictures and hasn’t had them taken yet)

Nathan’s girlfriend and her sister came with for the session. We had fun. Here is Nathan and Shalea (btw she is one of my 2011 super seniors)…
Thanks for doing such a good job Nathan despite the fact that you didn’t want senior pictures. Glad your girlfriend and mom talk you into it. See you Friday night at graduation commencement.
Indiana Senior Photography: Super Seniors Class of 2011 In The Studio
Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010Last Sunday I had about 55 kids in the studio to get their photo taken for the Starke County Super Senior Photo. They are the top 20 students from each Starke County School” Oregon-Davis, Knox and North Judson.
Thought I would show some fun behind the scenes photos from the day.
I noticed these girls were hanging out so I snapped a picture….

And then I had them all get together for a posed shot…. (love how we ended up with kids from both OD, Knox and NJ in the studio at the same time)

I passed out at the end of the day because I was tired from posing everyone. (not really but if I did I had a nurse in training there to help me)

Some people like coming to the studio so much they show up even when they aren’t getting pictures done. Kelsey came with Morgan so I had to get a picture with her. I am not sure who has been to the studio more lately Kelsey or Courtney S.

Check back next week and I will announce the date for the release of the big photo and also I will be posting individual photos in the storefront so you can see those in advanced.
Indiana Senior Pictures: No More Braces!
Wednesday, May 12th, 2010I am offering a new service. Removal of Brace. So if you have braces and they aren’t going to be off any time soon, don’t worry I can remove them digitally. Here is an example of one of Julia’s photos that we retouched.

After braces were removed…

Here is a close up

Indiana Senior Pictures: Travis from John Glenn
Friday, May 7th, 2010

Travis was easy to photograph. He always had a smile on his face. He brought his mom and his girlfriend with him and I put them to work holding the reflector. They had a harder job then Travis or I had because it was super windy and that reflector wanted to blow away. Thanks you two for helping make Travis’ picture so good, couldn’t have done it without you two holding the reflector for me.
Hope you didn’t end up getting any poison ivy. I am all clear!
Indiana Senior Pictures: Julia from Plymouth High School
Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

We also took a family photo during her senior session…. (I did her brother’s senior pictures too. Matt loves his picture taken NOT!)

Val and Shawn like their picture taken. Actually Shawn is a pretty big ham. Helps that I have known him for several years. Once he rescued Samantha’s doll from the rain, it was left outside on the swing and he saved it. They are both such sweethearts.

Was nice hangin’ out with your family Val and Shawn. Send me some more nice people from Plymouth.
Indiana Senior Pictures: Chloe from Plymouth High School
Sunday, April 25th, 2010

I had lots of fun with Chloe. I asked her what she liked and she said “trees”. How cute is that. She is a nature lover. She’s also super sweet. She helped me carry all my crap around during the photo shoot. I have to give a shout out to her cousin Preston that sent her my way. Thanks Preston!!!!
