Today I went to Oregon-Davis for their mini Relay for Life.  It was AWESOME!!!  I had a blast, the kids had fun and I know they learned alot too.  Great job to everyone that put it together.  The National Honor Society members put on a wonderful presentation to the kids.  I was very impressed!  Here are just a few photos from the event.  I am posting more on facebook.  I will put them in the Starke County Relay For Life Group.

The NHS students asked the kids to raise their hands if they thought Jayme was the coolest person in the gym.  Lots of hands went up! (Even Jerry had his hand up LOL)

They spelled out HOPE with the bags the kids made.  Samantha made one for our cousin Maggie.  It was really nice.  She put on it.. “Good job to my cousin Maggie.  I don’t like cancer”

The first time I met Christina and her mom Amy was at the OD mini relay.  Remember guys.  How many years ago was that????

I have been busy and haven’t had a chance to post this so sorry for the delay, but a couple weeks ago Courtney Surma and Kelsey Minix competed in Florida with their  Indiana Ultimate All-Stars Cheerleading Squad and placed 11th in the World.  I seen their routine and it was AMAZING!!

Not only are they great cheerleaders, they are awesome students too.  I just seen them both today helping with the National Honor Society’s Mini Relay for Life at the school.  Both are so good at working with the kids.

Kelsey:

A friend of mine owned a small candle making business and had a scent called Monkey Farts. (Actually she was my also my very first paid photography session over 6 years ago anyways…)It is one of my all time favorite candle scents and once and awhile when I need someone to smile I just say “Monkey Farts” and they can’t help but put a smile on their face (plus I like saying Monkey Farts.

Well, I have alittle problem, someone else (also a friend) owns the company now and is making the Monkey Fart scent but she calls it Monkey Butt.  Well, Monkey Butt is funny but not as funny as Monkey Farts.  So I am gonna plea to her to change the name back to Monkey Farts.

So go to my facebook page (business one) and leave a comment saying to change the name.

PS  If you want some awesome soy candles call LeAnn at 574-225-2373.  (make sure you ask for the monkey farts scent  because it is the best.  Oh and the grandma’s kitchen one is good too especially for people like me that don’t bake. LOL)

The Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana Michiana of St. Joseph County was at the studio yesterday.  They are doing a new members campaign and also they are involved with the Unity Garden and needed some images for billboards and printed items.  Here are a couple photos from the shoot.

Thanks South Bend Girl Scouts for being so good in the studio.  You guys all did such a great job I am sure your leaders are proud.

Melanie is such a sweetie.  I had a wonderful time hanging out with her and her mom.  Of course it was windy during the shoot so that kinda limited us to where we could shoot, but we made things work.  I am sure she was sick of hearing me say “fix your hair” after the shoot but she didn’t complain.

My neighbor called me up the other day said he wanted a photo of him and his wife similar to the American Gothic painting.  I am always up for fun photo shoots.  We changed it up alittle.  Here is one of the images from the shoot.

This session was well, fun really isn’t the word for it.   Hmmm, let’s just say it was very entertaining.  I was laughing my butt off the entire time.  Kelsey did an amazing job considering there was chaos going around her the entire time.  It is going down in the books as one I will never forget.  Thanks Andrea for taking the wonderful photos of me and my cheerleader moves.
