Brothers: Ches and Charlie

November 6th, 2008

This was the first time I got to meet Charlie, he is such a good baby.  Chess…. I have photographed him several times, he is such a cutie, and a great big brother.  He always goes to Elizabeth’s Garden in Culver to see Santa and I look foward seeing him.  Not gonna go on and on about how cute they were just look at the pictures..

This was the very last picture of our session.  I just love it.  Makes me smile.

Cousins: Bryceton, Brandon, Haylee and Samantha

November 6th, 2008

It was so nice out and I know we aren’t going to have many more days like this so I called my niece and told her to bring her kids over for some photos and to have some fun outside.  When I got looking at the pictures I realized my cat was in just about every photo.  Isn’t that funny.  Check it out he is even in the photo with the kids playing the riding toys.

My kids are so lucky, they have tons of cousins their age to play with.  I hope they all are still hanging out when they are 16.fallnov2008_38bw-copy.jpg

Hayden and Kierra- Halloween 2008

November 4th, 2008

This session was so much fun, the kids were so good and cracked us up big time.  Hayden kept pulling down his ears and shaking his little booty.  I enjoyed every minute of it.  Here are some of my faves…. (isn’t he such a little cutie, love this one of big sis giving him a kiss)

Last years halloween fun with them….  (although if I remember right that was one was alittle stressful, I think it was late and they weren’t in the mood.) http://www.photographybyjayme.com/wordpress/archives/285

Tatum

November 4th, 2008

Tatum is a sweetheart but was sooo tired when she was at my studio.  Her mom said she fell asleep just a couple minutes down the road after they left.  (I knew that would happen).  We struggled to get her to stay still but it wasn’t a problem when she got to hold the kitty.  (that cat as saved me on a few kid shoots)  Here are my faves…

Halloween Fun!!

November 3rd, 2008

I have always loved Halloween. We trick-or-treat Hamlet and then all end up at my Grover and Misty’s house.  It was sooo much fun.  Huge thanks to Grover and Misty for doing such and amazing job, the kids and adults loved it.  Here are some of my favorite photos….

Oh, I forgot to mention, Bob dressed up as a bannana, and I was a woopie cushion.  Yeah, I know we are dorks, but the kids loved it.  Mason was a monkey, so Bob and him looked great together.  Samantha was a cowgirl and Brandon was Thomas the train.

Yeah, we rode in style around town.  Forget that walking stuff!  This is our Chitty, Bang, Bang car as Brandon calls it.

I have openings available now!!!

November 1st, 2008

I thought I better post this because while trick-or-teating I was asked a couple times if I had sessions available this month….  I posted about a month ago that I wouldn’t be taking on new clients for awhile because I needed to get seniors scheduled and exsisting families taken care of.  Well, I have some time slots open to anyone that wants them.

2  1 slots are available for Saturday Nov. 8th,    I have one slot for Saturday Nov 15th, and Saturday the 22nd I can take several sessions.  I also have some time slots during the week (including one opening this week, because I had someone that had to reschedule)  Also I will be shooting the weekend after Thanksgiving just not sure which day.

Saturday, Dec. 6th I will be at Elizabeth’s Garden in Culver with Santa from 9-noon central time.  (no apointments)  It is always lots of fun, and Liz does an awesome backdrop!!

Please don’t wait until last minute to schedule.  Even if you want a December time slot please call me.  I will do what I can to get everyone that wants a session prior to Christmas taken care of, but I am only one person and can only handle so much, at some point I will have to cut things off.

Model: Kaylee

October 30th, 2008

Kaylee was suppose to go to the Indiana Dunes with me last friday to meet up with Matt and Sarah.  She was going to be their model.  Well since it rained and Matt and Sarah left early for Ohio I decided to take advantage of Kaylee and we did some fun stuff.  However we still had to deal with the rain so we didn’t get to do too much fun stuff.  But I was thrilled with what we got.  Thanks Kaylee for dealing with the weather and for going out to lunch with me.  I hope you like the pictures…  I LOVE this close-up of you.  That hat rocks!  To bad I look bad in hats or I would be borrowing it from you.

Kaylee really liked this next one when I showed it to her on the camera screen…  I tried something alittle different on post processing on a few of these.  I really like the effect on this shot.

I had to get some light on her face so I needed my flash, but didn’t want to risk my flash getting wet, so I did what I could with a ziploc bag…

img_1138.jpg

Oh, I almost for got… poor Kaylee got a mosquito in her eye.  It was terrible, took forever to get out.  She was a trooper though and as soon as she fixed her make-up we were back to shooting.  Have a wonderful day all, it is perfect outside.  I think I will take the kids to the park for awhile.  We won’t get many more days like this one.

Happy Birthday Gwen!

Here is a message from someone special…

Have a wonderful day!!!

Catching Up!

October 28th, 2008

Life has been crazy for me lately as most of you know.  Bob’s aunt Cheryl past away so it was important to spend some extra family time this past week.  I appreciate that everyone has been understanding that I haven’t got things done as quickly as I usually do.  I stayed up late last night and got up early this morning and everyone’s gallery is now up.  (with the exception of Kaylee… I still need to get your stuff editted.  I will work on that tomorrow.)  And prints will be ordered today and tomorrow so those will be on their way.

Last friday I was suppose to go to the Indiana Dunes to meet up with Matt and Sarah from New York.  Well, it rained all day.  So they ended up heading on to Ohio, which I don’t blame them, but I was totally bummed that I didn’t get to shoot with them.  However Kaylee who had planned on modeling for them spent some time with me and we did some fun stuff…  (even some shots in the rain).  I can’t wait to edit them, and will try to post tomorrow or Thursday.  Kaylee we will have to do something another day when the weather is nice.

*** High School Seniors!!!  You can still get your pictures done this fall/winter and don’t have to wait until spring.  I have a new backdrop I bought just for seniors that will be arriving at the studio in a couple weeks, and I have more new stuff to come, plus I can handle the cold if you can.  Also I am going to want to shoot some snow pictures.  I have some awesome ideas for winter pictures.  Great chance to get something totally different from anyone else.

Senior: Vanessa from North Judson High School

October 27th, 2008

I have known Vanessa for several years thru 4-H.  She is so much fun and such a sweetie.  4-H is going to miss her that is for sure.  I think she needs to come back and be a dog leader or something.  Just won’t be the same without her.

Here is my favorite shot of the day… (Vanessa-you are such a beautiful girl)

Vanessa was one of my Starke County Super Seniors.  Here is her individual shot from that project…

img_2805-copy.jpg

Huge thanks to Vanessa’s mom and dad.  We shot her pictures Friday morning.  (yep, it rained, rained hard at times)  We shot in between rain drops and just made it work.  They dealt with the animals and running stuff back and forth to the truck so Vanessa and I could stay dry.  Thanks!

Engagement: Clinton+Shannon

October 27th, 2008

I was soooo bummed when Shannon told me their wedding date.  It was on a Friday the day before I shoot another wedding.  Right now I am not doing weddings back to back the next day.  It is just too much for me and my family and Gwen since she would ha.  So I had to send her to another photographer.  Luckily we got her a good one!!  They still wanted me to do their engagment which I was thrilled to do.  We had a wonderful time and got some amazing shots.

It gets dark so darn fast, this one was taken at about 6pm.  I love how dramatic it is.

I wish you guys the best.  Clinton- you found yourself a sweetheart and she happens to be gorgeous too, so happy for you.

Senior: Chad from Knox High School

October 26th, 2008

I have to admit, I was totally bummed when Chad pulled up, because his mom wasn’t with him.  I haven’t seen her for years.  His mom use to hang out with my aunt and when I was younger I was attached to my aunt’s hip.  So Angie we’ll have to meet up some other time.  However maybe no mom was a good thing, because Chad did an awesome job for me, which I was worried about because he was a typical guy and didn’t really care about pictures.  Luckily he was a sweetie and just did what I said.  Here are a few of my faves….

Chad also brought his girlfriend with.  If I remember right they have been together since elementary school.  (how awesome is that!)
