Indiana Photography: Starke County Economic Dev.

Friday, December 11th, 2009

This afternoon I attended the Starke County Economic Developement Foundation’s Open House.  They announced their new name, logo and released their new website. I didn’t take many pictures, I was too busy eating and talking to everyone. (I do both too much)  But here are a few images from todays luncheon.

Charlie was working right up to the start of the open house…

Lisa, Tammy and Ron greeted people at the door…

They unveiled a banner that had their new logo on it.

It was nice to see everyone.  Thanks for the invite Charlie and Lisa, I always have a wonderful time with you folks. We are very lucky to have a wonderful team working to get business to our area.  I love the new website, I hope we have more groundbreakings in 2010!!

Mason is on the go all the time.  It was hard to get him to stay still, sometimes we didn’t even try, we just let him do his thing.  He found this big stick that he carried around during most of the shoot.  I think it is so funny how us parents can spend so much money on toys and our kids enjoy playing with stuff like sticks.

Relay For Life Hamlet, Indiana June 12-13

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Relay For Life is tomorrow at the Starke County Fairgrounds in Hamlet.   If you don’t have anything going on please come out and support the community.  I was talking to my friend Dawn today and she is going for the first time.  She said she would have gone before but no one ever asked her.  (I felt terrible when she said that)  So here in everyone’s invitation.  Even if you are not part of a team, don’t worry you can be on mine.  (right Denise!)   There are so many fun things for kids and adults to do, plus walking, which is good for ya.  High School students, I know Oregon-Davis has a couple groups walking, and I remember last year seeing lots of others from Knox and North Judson there.  There will be a DJ there too!!  (yeah the crew does an awesome job of making a great event)

For those who have never been it is an amazing experience espicially if you or someone you love has dealt with cancer.  Setup starts at around 3-4 on Friday and the opening ceremonies are at 6pm.  Another special event that is a must is the luminaria ceremony (I always get a tear or two during that part) that is at 9pm.  The event ends with an awards ceremony at 9am Saturday.

Here are a couple photos from last year.  Once again Bob and I will be taking photos and I will have them on here and on facebook soon after.   Oh, and about facebook…our group even has a facebook page so check it out, post a special message if you want.  RELAY FACEBOOK  and to register online or make a donation go HERE

One more thing… I will have a 1 hour photo session in the silent auction.  So go bid, I want to raise BIG MONEY!!!

Here are some photos from last year.  Bob took the HOPE one.  I just love it.

I can’t stress enough how much fun it is and how it will make you feel good about taking part in such a special event.  If you are a blog stalker make sure you say hi if you see me (I will be the one with a camera in my hands and blue tshirt with committee on the back).  I like to know who is out there reading.  See you all tomorrow night!!!!!

“Sweetheart”  If I was asked to describe Elizabeth in one word that is what I would say.  I just love her.  She will make an awesome teacher some day!!

I am so glad Lisa came with.  I will be shooting her senior pictures on Thursday!!  I had so much fun with these girls and with Elizabeth’s mom.  I have the best job.  I get to hang out with great people and get paid for it.  See ya Thursday Lisa!!

Thanks Brandon, Heather, Emily, Becky and Peyton for such a fun shoot.  (Emily-too bad we were so sweaty and tired or we could of took some funny shots of ourselves with Peyton’s props.  Next time!!)

Photographers Hanging Out (Indiana & Alabama)

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

What do photographers do when they get together??  They Jump Up For Joy!!!  LOL  Here is Me and Nichole showing off our moves with Bridget behind the camera.  We are working the one light outside despite freezing our butts off!  (gotta love my crazy jumping face, although I think Nichole’s is alittle crazier)goetz-march1-2009_34

Actually they came over to learn some studio lighting and to help me get a family photo.(I think I made out better on the deal)  I will order this later this week as a 16×20 canvas.  I soo needed another one for my brick wall in the living room and this will be perfect.

Samantha took a group picture of us three amigos.  She did soo good, I was worried the camera would be too heavy for her but she kept it really still.  The only thing she did do was held down the shutter snapping like 6 images right in a row.

Above is Me, Bridget (from Alabama), and Nichole (from LaPorte)  Thank you girls for a wonderful morning!!!!!  Bridget-we went to my In-Laws house that night and my father-in-law was still talking about you.  I hope you make it home safe.
