The kids got into it so much they didn’t want to leave.  Notice the coats in the last photo, yeah I was snapping pictures as the adults were headed out the door.  Thanks kids for a super fun time.

The Oliverius family was so much fun.  If you know them you gotta ask them for their password and look thru their gallery (which I will have up later tonight).  I was nice and didn’t post the really good photos.  (you can thank me later)  Thanks gang I hope you have a wonderful time together this weekend.

PS  Yep Sally, it’s a good think we live in a small town!!!

Northern Indiana Photographer: Holiday Photos

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Just a quick FYI:  I only have a couple time slots left in November.  (I still have a couple time slots this Saturday morning, make sure you contact me right away if you want one)  In December I have the 9th and 10th, possibly the 13th. <– not sure about the 13th because I need to find out when we are doing Christmas with my mom’s family.

I have been asked already if I will do sessions during Christmas break and yes I will.  I was going to take some time off, but I know how important it is to get family pictures taken and sometimes that is the only time family is in town.  Please let me know right away though so I can mark you down, I will be limiting my shooting so I can spend some much needed time with the kiddos.

2010 Seniors if you still haven’t had your pictures taken yet I will be doing one day during Christmas break.  I have a couple neat ideas so if someone is still in need and is willing to let me get creative then I think it will be a good time, also I want to shoot in the snow a couple times this winter and hopefully we will have some snow that week.  I think the snow pictures would be cool and not too many other people will have them, so a great way to be different from everyone else.  Also if I have enough interest I might rent a new backdrop so only people shot that day would have those pictures using that particular drop.

Don’t miss out on seeing Santa!  We always have a good time at Elizabeth’s Garden in Culver when Santa is there.   Call if you have any questions, no appointments, just walk-in.  Jayme @ 574-867-6776  Elizabeth’s Garden is located near the Culver Cove.  It is a super cute shop.  They always have it decorated so nice for the holidays.  You can also do alittle Christmas shopping while there.  They have Vera Bradley purses!!!  <— which I love

Kids can even bring their letter to Santa if they want to.  I will be giving Santa my Christmas list.

Hope to see you all there!!!

Northern Indiana Photographer: Been busy!

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Sorry for no blog posts for awhile, been busy trying to catch up with photo orders, and to just chill out so I don’t get burned out.  But don’t worry I have 4 sessions in the next couple days and a commercial shoot on Monday so I will have lots to share.

Mark your calendars for Dec 5th for Photos with Santa at Elizabeth’s Garden of Culver.  More details will follow soon.

If you want family photos before Christmas please contact me right away.  Since it gets so dark so fast and Bob is working far from home I won’t do much shooting during the week, only a couple in the studio and my weekend time slots are filling up fast.

(I have one slot open for Nov 15, several open for Nov 22, two slots left for Nov 28th, and not much time in December due to the santa shoot and  a commercial shoot on Dec 12th, plus throw in going to OD basketball games to watch my niece and cousin’s play ball <–gotta have priorities!)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.  I have errands to run and a meeting so I get to get out and enjoy the sunshine!!!

I got a facebook message from my cousin Robyn the other day and it was about being thankful.  She is posting things that she is thankful for.  Well today, I am thankful that Samanatha and I made a big mom/daughter connection, I am thankful for the Eskimo kisses Brandon gave me this morning (we call it giving “noses”)  and I am thankful for Bob, he just called to see how me and Brandon were doing.  Sometimes I complain, but when I think about it I am pretty darn lucky.  I hope everyone else is able to realize that too.

If you are on facebook look me up, I am usually posting about something stupid I did that day, something crazy the kids said or did or about my addition with chocolate donuts. -Jayme Goetz

Since I should really post a picture since this is a photography blog, here is one Bob took at Halloween.  This is his brother Grover’s house.  It was “the place” to go in Hamlet.  Thanks Grover and Misty for the awesome Halloween party, it will be one I will never forget!

And here is one more, I ment to get this to Terry Turner for the Newshawk and I am not sure if I got it to him in time for this weeks paper.  The staff from Wintersong was at OD schools passing out glow sticks, they were dressed cute and were super nice.  Thanks gang, the kids enjoyed seeing you.

Northern Indiana Photographer: Maggie, Jared and their awesome parents

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

The other day I photographed one of the most amazing families I know.  My cousin Rodney, his wife Rachel and their kids Jared and Maggie.

Rodney is my cousin.  Rod has always excelled at everything he has done in life.  When he was in high school he was a big basketball star, when he worked for the local PBS station he was a TV star.  Well, now he is a star dad to Maggie and Jared, which really is the most important thing he has ever done.  His kids are super lucky to have him as a dad, and then they hit the jackpot with Rachel as a mom.

In Feburary Rod and Rachel’s  little baby girl only 3 years old was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.  It has been a rough several months.  If you follow their caringbridge website you know that.  Their life has and will never be the same.  However even though their life is now filled with medical concerns they are still the same fun and crazy family they were before February. I am glad I got to photograph them at home having a fun afternoon and at least for alittle while we all forgot about our troubles and had fun acting goofy.

Gonna start off with my favorite couple pictures.  Rod asked me to capture how Maggie rubs his face.  She likes to check to see if his face is smooth or scratchy.  (Rod I have to admit I had a hard time not sheading a tear.  It is the Grandma Jernas in me, I just loved watching you guys interact, I am so glad I got to witness that special moment)

Rachel wanted me to take pictures of them having a tea party. Rachel collects tea cups and pots so it was the perfect photo opportunity.

I know Maggie isn’t looking at the camera, but I love this next photo of the kids.  Jared- you are such a cutie pie, keep hugging Maggie tight and being a good big brother.

I just love these next to shots of Rachel and Maggie.  Sorry Rachel for posting, but how could I not.  You guys are just too darn cute.

Jared takes after his dad ALOT, can’t you tell.  Oh and he is such a smart kid.  He read one of Maggie’s favorite books and my jaw hit the ground.  He is only in Kindergarden but was easily reading the book.

Thanks for the fun afternoon gang.

Northern Indiana Photography: Hamlet Water Tower Almost Up

Monday, September 14th, 2009

The Water Tower at Hamlet, IN is almost up.  They still need to put the top part on.  They would have had it done however a small motor (pictured below at the end) wasn’t working so they had to have another one shipped to them so hopefully tomorrow the top will go on.  Here are some shots I grabbed today…  (Once I get the rest of the shots I will put them all in the storefront with no password so everyone can see them all, it was a pretty cool process)

They are waiting on a motor that looks like this before the crane can run again.  I hope it gets here in the morning as expected.

Northern Indiana Event: Ladies Night Out Coming Soon!

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Ladies mark Sunday, September 20th on your calendar.   The 3rd annual Ladies Night Out event will be held in the Knox Middle School.  The doors will open at 4pm for food, fellowship, vendors and basket auctions.   There is a small fee to get in the door.  The theme for the event is FRIENDSHIP.

I will be there and have something exciting going on for all my girlfriends!  I have been blessed with lots of amazing friends and can’t wait to have an awesome evening with them and also make some new friends.

Stay Tuned, more info to come in the next couple weeks.

PS… I wasn’t able to make it to lat years event (I am pretty sure I had a shoot that evening), I went to the first one though and posted on my blog about it.  Check it out HERE.

Culver Indiana Wedding: Mark and Lindsey

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Gonna start off with my favorite photo of the day.  This was the photo Mark requested because he asked Lindsey to marry him by the lighthouse.  Isn’t that so sweet that he wanted a picture there.  Also Bob (aka my hubby, aka assistant for the day) and I worked together to get this shot, he did an awesome job holding the reflector for me and finding great light.  Teamwork.

Some day Trevor will realize what a lucky boy he was that night.  I got lots of pictures for him.risner-july2009_477

One last shot.  When I walked into Washington Twp. Building I was blown away. Mark and Lindsey did an amazing job hanging lights up in the ceiling.  I don’t think I have ever seen it done like that.  BTW Bob and I had our reception there too.

risner-july2009_450bw

I am tired.  It is after 1am and I just got done editing the wedding and posting here on the blog.  I usually don’t stay up late to work because, well frankly I need my beauty sleep, but I have been soo busy this week shooting that I had to burn the midnight oil and get this done.  I usually have weddings posted on the blog two or three days afterwards so I apologize to all of you for the delay.

Anyways, Mark and Lindsey have been friends of mine and Bob’s forever.  I use to do the horse thing with Lindsey and Bob some fishing with Mark.  (I am pretty sure Mark was there that day I caught like 10 fish, remember that, I totally out-fished the guys that day)  Sorry I am having a hard time focusing since it is so late.  Well, I am really happy for you guys and am so glad you asked me to photograph your special day.  Bob and I had lots of fun and it was so nice that we knew just about every guest.

I almost forgot, I wanted to post a picture of Thad, Elizabeth and Victor.  Lindsey was brave and even held Victor before the wedding.  (me, I would have been worry about spit up, but Lindsey didn’t care)  And yep Victor has a little tux onsie on, too cute…

Some day he will grow into his feet… (the are small, yet huge, does that make sense)bvjuly2009_36

For those of you that haven’t hear yet Thad and Elizabeth Beauchamp had a little baby boy; Victor Abel.  Being the good friend I am headed up to the hospital to snap a few pictures of the little guy.  He is tooo cute.  I am sooo happy for them, they are going to make awesome parents.  Motherhood is coming so natural to Liz, makes me tear up thinking about it.

I am sure Victor will be hanging out at Elizabeth’s Garden of Culver very soon.
