Indiana Wedding Photography: Justin & Julia’s Wedding

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

First let me start off by saying that this was a special wedding for me to photograph.  I not only photographed Julia’s sister’s wedding, but I also have photographed their family pictures, and both Justin and Julia’s senior pictures.  I think it is safe to say that I am officially their family photographer.  Big thanks for trusting me with these special moments in your lives.

This first shot was a flash back to Sarah’s wedding day.  Julia’s mom gave her something special that made her think of her grandpa.

This post should be all about Justin and Julia but there is a certain someone that kind stole the show at times.  Meet the ring bearer, isn’t he cute.  This was before the wedding.

He was excited about being the ring bearer, but when he realized everyone was staring at him he got alittle scared.

And then he started to cry, don’t worry there is more about him later.

Julia loves snow, she wanted a winter wedding, but after her sister’s wedding was during a snow storm and the temperature was -5 or so Justin said no way.  So he made up for it by having fake snow when they exited the church.

Being a ring bearer is hard work and requires a nap.

After his nap he felt like dancing!

Vanessa caught the bouquet, and she had the cutest reaction!

And now for my favorite part of the night.  DJ Kyle Hinds pulled out his box of props.  It was so much fun, I had a hard time taking pictures because I was laughing so hard.

And one last time, here he is again…..

And here are my mom and dad.  They were out on the dance floor dancing the “anniversary dance”.  I love when Kyle does this.  He asks that all the married couples get out on the dance floor and then he asks that the newlyweds leave and then the couples married for less then 5 years, less then 10 years, etc.. until the couple that is married the longest is left.  Well….

Indiana Wedding Photographer: Photography by Jayme

that couple ended up being my mom and dad.  (they are so not old enough to be the “old married couple”)  Kyle had them give some marriage advise to the new couple.

Tiffany loves horses.  I heard she has posters hung up in her room.  Luckily she has a friend that just happens to have horses so we went over there and shot some pictures.  Now she can have pictures of her with horses she knows up on her walls.

Big thanks to Doug and Larinda for helping out with the horses.  Round up some more seniors for me because I love shooting over at your place.

This is one of my favorite shots!  Gotta love cool old trucks.

Amanda’s horse cowboy wanted to eat grass the entire time, so it wasn’t easy to get his head up or to get his attention.  Luckily Amanda’s mom figured out a good truck and once she did it worked ever time.

Getting in the water was their idea, and I am so glad Amanda wanted to, I just love this shot.

How cool is this…

Amanda’s boyfriend Connor is a sweetie.  He is also a good reflector holder too.  Not so good at getting a horses attention but that’s okay, he did his job.

I LOVE this jumping shot.  Amanda is a fun girl and this totally shows her personality.

This was one of those sessions where everything just worked out perfectly.  The evening was cool for a July day and the sky was pretty blue and Amanda and her mom had some great ideas, I got to just stand by and let everything fall into place and snap the pictures.

Thanks for the awesome evening gang!!!

Starke County Indiana Super Seniors Class of 2011

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Congrats to all 57 Starke County Indiana Super Seniors Class of 2011

Indiana Senior Photographer www.photographybyjayme.com

TO VIEW THE PHOTO LARGER PLEASE CLICK HERE or you can go see the big picture in person at the Starke County Library in Knox (across from the Knox middle school)  It will also be on display at the 4-H fair and then will make its rounds to 1st Source Bank and to all three schools.

Last night at the Starke County library in Knox we unveiled the big picture that will go on display around the county.  In case you are wondering how the kids are chosen… there are 20 students from each school picked by their principal.  I asked the principals to give me to top overall students.  I want kids that are active at their school in clubs, sports and that are doing well academically.  This is a huge honor to be a part of this elite group.

My mom snapped this picture of me after I took the black cover off and I thought I did a good job looking like one of those girls on the game shows so I thought I should post in hopes I get spotted by a talent scout.

Courtney posed for her mom’s camera with the big picture, so I had to get a shot of her too.  She is pointing to herself.  She cracks me up.

I want to say big thanks to Judy Caudill and 1st Source Bank for being a big supporter of the Super Senior Project.  They donated Two $50 savings bonds.  I donated a small scholarship and the winners were chosen at random because all the student are deserving of winning.

Thanks to all the students and parents that came out last night.  The library said there was approximately 70 people with our group.  Since there were a couple people I was unable to reach to let them know about the event I will allow the students that weren’t there to pick up their copy of the photo at the studio.  You must call prior to coming to pick it up.  574-867-6776

Aaron is a super nice guy.   Even though he didn’t want senior pictures he was willing to get them taken for his mom.  At first his mom was going to leave because she was afraid he didn’t want her around, but I am so glad I talked her into staying.  I know how important this stuff is to the mom’s.  I am having a hard time with my kids growing up and they are only 7 and 4, I am pretty sure I will be a mess when it comes time for their senior pictures.

Aaron- have a wonderful summer and so glad you were my first senior of the season!  I had fun on our little adventure.

Northern Indiana Senior Photographer: Fun Time Learning

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

I am always trying to be a better photographer.  A couple weeks ago I attended a workshop in Indianapolis.  I have always felt I needed to improve my skills in the studio.  I learned alot and met so many wonderful people from all over.  Here are a few shots I took while there.

Northern Indiana Photography: Holiday Cards

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Finally I posted some holiday card samples.  I just put them in the storefront.  The names are at the bottom of the photo so when you let me know which one you want give me that info.  There are a couple that just come 5×7.  And not every one can be made to 4×8 size. Email or call with any questions.  Also if you don’t see anything you like, I can custom make something for you.

Also you can order Christmas cards from any session you had throughout the year.  If your gallery has expired in the storefront just email me and I will put it back up for you.

Here is one of my new templates.  Have your family turned into snowmen.  (isn’t it so darn cute)

Indiana Photography Holiday Cards

Here is the snowmen family options.

CC037 Let it Snow 5x7 Flat Press Printed Card Front

I actually have a couple ideas for these little snowmen.  I am thinking about making myself a little collage to go on display in my house.  The great thing about snowmen is they represent winter so if I make something I can leave it up all winter.

PS  Should I put Smokey the kitten on my collage or is that a death sentence for the little guy.  (inside joke for all that know that I don’t have good luck with cats, they end up dead some how, I have a 20×20 print on my wall with the kids and two kittens that are no longer with us)  Also I am wondering if there is a way for me to make a chicken snowmen for Brandon’s chicken.  (<–just kidding about the chicken)

PSS  There is no real deadline for Christmas Cards.  I can order within about a week from Christmas (I could do rush shipping but would charge extra) but please don’t wait until last minute, I don’t like to be rushed.  LOL

Janice and her mom are so darn cute.  I can tell they have a really good relationship.  I have a good one with my mom too.  If they didn’t they would have killed each other this past weekend because they spent the entire weekend in the car.  First they drove to Southern Indiana on Saturday for a college visit and then they drove to Northern Indiana on Sunday for her senior pictures.  I am sure they both were dragging on Monday.

Janice and the rest of the girls, good luck and have a fun, safe, senior year!

Nolan is one of those kids that you know will do something great with their life.  He is so darn smart.  He claims that it is better to be a computer nerd then computer geek.  I don’t know, I for some reason  like being referred to as computer geek better.  For those of you that don’t know I have a computer programing degree and pretty much have spent most of  my college and adult life on the computer so I am total computer geek.

Nolan- good luck with your senior year.  I expect great things from you and when you land that book deal don’t forget about me, I better be taking your headshots, got it!

One more thing… he is the uncle to one of my favorite little girls to photograph..  Harper!

Huge Congrats to all the KHS 2009 Graduates. Good luck out there in the global world (LOL inside joke for all those that were there).   I really enjoyed your commencement.  It has been a long time since I attented one.  I hope to make it to future ones.  I was hired by a parent to be there but made sure I grabbed shots of other seniors I knew.

I also have to say I felt so welcome at your school.  We have such awesome young adults in our community!!

I will post all the photos I took in my storefront.
